What is Academic Pride

Academic Pride is a collaboration around Stockholm Pride between several of Stockholm’s higher education institutions and their associated student unions. The purpose is to make visible the importance of LGBTQIA + issues in higher education institutions, both in terms of research and teaching and in terms of inclusive work and study environments.

Academic Pride is an important reminder of values and freedoms we often take for granted but which in fact always need to be defended. Marie Cederschiöld University is a place for everyone, regardless of gender, skin color, religion, sexual orientation, etc.

Equal conditions are a prerequisite for academic freedom and a vital part of a safe, inclusive and creative study and work environment, says Roger Klinth, president of Marie Cederschiöld university.
